What actually goes into reupholstering furniture?
Professional reupholstery involves much more than removing one fabric and putting another over it.
The old upholstery is carefully stripped away so that the structure underneath can be inspected. The frame, springs, webbing, foam and cushioning can then be assessed and repaired or replaced where necessary.
Once the foundations are right, the new fabric is measured, cut and fitted. Details such as piping, seams, pattern placement and finishing all require skill and time.
